Here i have done 3 designs for my front cover for a school magazine, I have also made sure i take into consideration the audience for my magazine and how it will attract them to buy it. My target audience is the students year seven to thirteen.
Design One
The title i have used is "Gossip Goffs" the reason i have chosen to use this title as it is a spin on a popular tv series which will mean it will be known. The headline i have used is "Students Make Hollywood!" I used this as it makes the school sound talented and quite artistic as a school. The title "Gossip Goffs" suggests that it will be trashy school gossip throughout and not much information and article based, and it suggests it has an element of fun involved.
Design Two
The title of my second front cover idea is "Top Goffs" the reason i have chosen this is because it sounds more formal than "Gossip Goffs" The layout looks like it has more information and the article title is about a new head which could be more based for teachers and students to find out about the new head. And the boxes at the side make it look more formal and more about the information.
Design Three
I think this could be attracted to students and teachers because it is quite bubbly and fun. I have choosen "Goffs Weekly" i have chosen this because it sounds quite formal and people will know it is weekly. It is based around the same layout as the last one it is too similar but i has a few more flashes of text instead of it all being in boxes.
The design I have chosen is design one.
